Upon turning 29 I've resolved to better document my travels and will try to consider those experiences as they relate to my goal of becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer (the application process will not start until late 2007/early 2008). I'll include any journeys longer than 1 night, outside of Minneapolis .

This morning I walked from my old hood to my new hood. On the way I took the NEW bike path by foot over Hennepin to Lyndale. Cool. Under the 94 bridge where someone was sleeping - in a sleeping bag - at least they had that and seemed peaceful. Along my walk I noticed how every bit of green space was used - mostly brown eyed susans and hostas. No space wasted. Walked past the Methodist church where my parents were married, thru the Episcopalian church where birds and squirrels ran around. Past the big ol "Loring Park Office" something... bothers me. That building was not originally used for office space - what was it used for originally? About 4 people out so early. I love the city but I can't wait to apply and be able to view another place like I did my neighborhood this morning. Can't wait to get out of here and start a new life that is so so different. I must go. Who else would that I know? Must be me.
